A Season of Light, Love, and Hope
As the year draws to a close, I find myself slowing down, and taking quiet moments to reflect on everything that has unfolded. The studio grows still, the afternoons stretch long and golden, and I feel a gentle pull to pause, to breathe, and to give thanks.
Christmas has always meant more to me than the rush of preparation or the sparkle of lights. At its heart, it’s a season of love - of remembering what truly matters. It’s about connection, forgiveness, and grace. It’s about the small, quiet gestures that remind us we’re not alone: a shared meal, a handwritten note, a hug.
I know this time of year isn’t easy for everyone. For some, it carries the ache of absence - of loved ones missed or moments that didn’t unfold as we hoped. For others, it brings the weight of exhaustion after a long, demanding year. If that’s you, I want to gently remind you: there is still beauty here. There is still hope.
The story of Christmas has always been, to me, a story of ultimate love - of light entering the world when it’s needed most. Whether you call that love God, or simply the goodness within us all, it’s what holds us steady through both joy and sorrow. It’s the quiet presence that whispers: keep going, you are loved, and the light will return.
So as we step into the final days of 2025, I wish you peace.
I wish you warmth and softness.
I wish you moments of stillness where you can simply be - to rest, to create, to heal.
Thank you for sharing this journey with me - for your encouragement, your kindness, and for allowing my art to be part of your lives. You are, each of you, part of the beauty I create.
Merry Christmas, and may your New Year begin with hope and light.
With love,
Kirana xx
What's On:
Join Us for an Open-Door Christmas 🎄
This Christmas, Peter and I wanted to honour the true heart of the season - love, connection, and opening our arms to one another.
So we’re opening our home to anyone who would like company, conversation, and a warm place to belong.
If you find yourself without plans, or simply wishing to spend the afternoon surrounded by gentle company, we would be honoured to have you with us.
We’ll share a simple, home-cooked meal - roast chicken, vegetables, salad, and all we ask is that you bring a plate or some drinks to add to the table.
Christmas Day – 25 December
From 3PM onwards
72 Saint Albans Street, Abbotsford, NSW 2046
If you’d like to join us, please RSVP to 0448 446 466, and we’ll make sure there’s a place set for you.
Christmas is, at its core, a celebration of love - a reminder that none of us are meant to walk through life alone.
We would love to share the day with you.
Pulse Exhibition, Melbourne
I’m delighted to share that four of my works are currently on display in Pulse — a vibrant group exhibition now showing at Art Lovers Australia Gallery in Melbourne.
The featured pieces — Circus, Moon Rising Over the Bay, In the Contemporary Garden Tea House, and Some Mornings— each explore rhythm, colour, and the quiet movement of emotion across the canvas.
Pulse celebrates pattern, rhythm, and abstraction as visual expressions of life itself — that delicate balance between chaos and calm, repetition and transformation. The exhibition hums with energy, inviting viewers into a conversation between movement and stillness, between what we see and what we feel.
If you’re in Melbourne, I’d love for you to visit and experience the show in person.
