In the contemporary garden tea house

$2,500.00

70w x 70h x 5d cm

Acrylic polymer, ink and charcoal on unprimed Belgian linen

Floated in a white frame with art glass

Ready to hang

Signed on front

I read a novel by Tom Saller describing a German man who traded tea from Japan, who has adopted the tea house ceremony into his own Berlin Garden. The artwork emerged from the very beautiful description of his daughter loving this everyday ritual of teatime after school with her Japanese teacher and carer and growing into a very passionate and patient artist creating most intricate work on ceramics. I felt a deep sense of the need for serenity and times of few words in this daily ritual, of letting nature and calm into our very being.

A beautiful and very special exhibition to visit by my dear friend and inspiring colleague, Libby Dunn.
Her work is filled with soul, strength, and stories that deserve to be seen.

There’s something about a flower at its fullest bloom - wide open to the world, unapologetically itself, vibrant and alive.

"Flower – Fully Alive" is a celebration of that moment.

Art is messy.
Much like life itself.

It doesn’t follow a straight line.
It’s layers built over layers - mistakes covered, colours colliding, textures shifting.
Sometimes it feels chaotic, uncertain, too much.
And sometimes, when yo

Sometimes, the world feels heavy.
Days stretch long, news weighs on us, and the road ahead looks unclear.

In those moments, it’s easy to feel small.
But even a small light changes the darkness.

Sometimes, it feels like there are just too many feelings to hold.
Too many layers of emotion, too many moments stitched together in a single heart.
